Your Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the technical architecture of a complex event-driven platform and help shape its scalability, reliability, and long-term development.

• Design, develop, and continuously improve backend services, microservices, and event-driven components within a modern distributed system environment.

• Define and implement APIs and integration approaches to connect internal applications, external systems, and hardware ecosystems.

• Develop and enhance workflow and automation capabilities to support efficient and scalable business processes.

• Drive technical decisions, uphold engineering standards, and promote high-quality software development across the team.

• Work closely with Product Owners and stakeholders to turn business requirements into practical, scalable, and sustainable technical solutions.

• Contribute to technical planning, prioritization, and estimation activities to support the successful delivery of product and platform initiatives.

Key Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field; alternatively, equivalent professional experience.

• 6+ years of experience in backend development, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures within enterprise environments.

• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and modern backend development, including the design of scalable services, APIs, and distributed applications.

• Experience working with event-driven architectures and technologies such as Apache Kafka, including event processing, schema management, and reliable system communication.

• Solid understanding of API design, system integrations, and modern platform architectures, ideally including REST, GraphQL, workflow orchestration, or stream processing solutions.

• Ability to drive architectural decisions, establish engineering standards, and guide technical direction across teams.

• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions while considering dependencies, trade-offs, and long-term platform evolution.

• Structured, ownership-driven, and quality-focused approach with a strong commitment to technical excellence

• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.

• Strong English skills (C1) in both written and spoken communication.
