We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced DevOps Team Lead to spearhead our DevOps initiatives, driving efficiency and innovation across our software delivery pipelines. This leadership role involves significant migration efforts, fostering best practices, and mentoring cross-functional teams to cultivate a robust DevOps culture.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute critical migrations from existing tools and platforms to modern, integrated solutions, including:

    • GitLab Ultimate (from current version control)

    • GitLab CI/CD (from Jenkins)

    • GitLab Package Registry (from Nexus)

    • GitLab Container Registry (from Docker Private Registry)

    • GitLab Static Application Security Testing (SAST) (from SonarQube)

  • Collaborate closely with the IT team to ensure seamless integration and alignment of DevOps strategies with overall infrastructure goals, primarily leveraging Azure Cloud and OVHcloud.

  • Act as a technical mentor and guide for stream-aligned development teams, promoting the adoption and implementation of DevOps best practices, CI/CD principles, and automation throughout the software development lifecycle. Crucially, you'll be adept at socializing these best practices, making them accessible and understandable to various teams, fostering enthusiasm and buy-in.

  • Actively participate in and lead the DevOps team, contributing to strategic planning, tool selection, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job requirements

Key Qualifications

  • CI/CD & Automation Expertise: Advanced skills in designing and optimizing GitLab CI/CD pipelines, and automating deployments and infrastructure tasks using Python, Bash, or Go.

  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Extensive experience with tools such as Terraform for provisioning and managing infrastructure across Azure and OVHcloud environments.

  • Containerization & Orchestration: Proficient in Docker and Kubernetes, including Helm for Kubernetes app management, with a strong grasp of scaling, rollouts, and cluster optimization.

  • Monitoring & Observability: Skilled in implementing monitoring and logging solutions using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) to ensure system health and performance.

  • Cloud & DevOps Tools Mastery: Deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure and OVHcloud, along with expert-level Git usage for version control and infrastructure management.

  • Leadership & Communication: Strong problem-solving and leadership skills, with a proven ability to mentor teams, drive adoption of best practices, and foster cross-functional collaboration.

  • Apache Kafka: Expertise in deploying, configuring, monitoring, and maintaining highly available, scalable, and performant Kafka clusters in production environments.

  • Linux Fundamentals: A strong understanding of the Linux operating system is essential.
