Job description
Whether in a hospital, airport, power plant, data centre or the Bundestag – our solutions provide security where it matters most. As part of the international primion Technology GmbH group, we are among Europe’s leading providers of access control, time recording, and security technology systems. Our solutions are trusted by renowned companies and public institutions. At primion, you will find diverse and exciting tasks, a motivated team, and the opportunity to actively shape the future of modern security technology.
To strengthen our international Quality Assurance team, we are looking for a committed Software Quality Engineer with a strong focus on automation and test enablement. Ready to bring your expertise to primion? Become part of an international team, help shape future-proof security solutions, and enjoy a modern, supportive working environment!
Your Responsibilities
You will work closely with development and product teams to ensure our software solutions meet the highest standards. Your core responsibilities include:
Defining automation guidelines and best practices for test frameworks, pipelines, environments, and reporting across all product development teams.
Supporting development teams in implementing these practices (e.g. unit, component, and contract tests) and defining outputs for our central dashboards and test management (Xray).
Consulting teams on when and where tests should be executed (e.g. triggered in CI/CD pipelines, against isolated or shared environments). • Developing and maintaining automated end-to-end tests using Playwright and TypeScript to validate critical user flows.
Integrating automated test suites into GitLab CI/CD pipelines, including management of test artifacts, triggering on commits, and publishing reports.
Creating rich reporting with Allure and integrating with issue tracking for full traceability.
Contributing to the security and reliability of our delivery pipelines via quality gates and dependency checks.
Improving test data management – promoting strategies for realistic test data creation, lifecycle management, and cleanup.
Participating in exploratory testing and collaborating with developers and product managers to uncover issues and drive continuous product improvement.
