Turn ideas into software that matters. As a Senior Backend Engineer (m/f/d) and part of our engineering team, you will build the backend capabilities that drive real-time business processes and deliver tangible value to customers every day.

Join our team in this fully remote position, offering a 40-hour work week and a salary range of 50.000,00 - 60.000,00 Euro gross per year!

Your Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services, business logic, and platform capabilities that power real-time business processes.

• Implement and enhance event-driven functionality, ensuring reliable, scalable, and efficient data and message processing.

• Build and maintain integrations between the platform and external systems, devices, and applications.

• Implement workflow-driven solutions and enable seamless interaction between business processes, services, and event streams.

• Develop scalable APIs and service interfaces that provide reliable access to platform functionality and data.

• Ensure maintainability, performance, and operational reliability through robust engineering practices and solution design.

• Work closely with technical leads and engineering teams to translate architectural concepts into high-quality software solutions.

Key Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field; alternatively, equivalent professional experience.

• 4+ years of experience in backend development, ideally within distributed or event-driven system environments.

• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, and scalable application design.

• Solid understanding of event-driven architectures, distributed systems, and reliable system communication patterns.

• Experience working with NoSQL databases, containerized applications, and modern software development practices.

• Ability to translate technical concepts into robust, maintainable, and production-ready software solutions.

• Structured, ownership-driven, and quality-focused approach with a passion for delivering reliable software.

• Strong English skills (C1) in both written and spoken communication.
