Senior / Principal Presales Consultant (m/f/d) Cybersecurity

We are seeking a highly motivated Presales Consultant Cybersecurity (m/f/d) on Senior / Principal Level for our Global Presales Consulting team. In this role, you will ensure high-quality delivery of Proof of Values, Proof of Concepts, Demos, Presales deployments for customers, partners and trade shows. You will also act as the team’s coach to enable our customer facing teams – including our international sales team – to latest and newest cyber security trends, frameworks, improve collaboration, and operate efficiently. This position is ideal for someone with strong technical leadership, excellent communication skills, and a mindset for continuous optimization.

Your Responsibilities

• Presales Excellence & Cybersecurity Advisory

  • Conduct high‑impact Proof of Concepts (PoC), Proof of Value (PoV), technical demos and presales deployments for customers, partners, and industry events in Europe.

  • Translate complex customer and cybersecurity requirements into clear architectural recommendations aligned with our product portfolio containing physical security, access / control and workforce management solutions.

  • Work on and lead efforts on complex tenders, RFQs and customer facing responses together with our Sales and Presales teams in all markets.

  • Align offerings and proposed solutions with i.e. BSIG, NIS2, NIST CSF, ISO 27001, modern Cloud‑native Security Frameworks and Zero Trust.

  • Advise customers on the design and implementation of Critical Event Management Platforms. Cover Integration aspects of our solution portfolio into SIEM, SOC, EDR/XDR, CNAPP, CSPM, Identity Security and Zero‑Trust architectures.

  • Present our products, solutions, roadmap, cybersecurity strategies and value propositions to C‑Level, technical stakeholders and operational teams during the sales process, at tender workshops, trade shows and road shows.

• Team Enablement

  • Lead, mentor, and support cybersecurity analysts and engineers within the Global Presales Consulting team.

  • Act as a coach for international sales teams, enabling them on emerging security and cybersecurity trends, threat landscapes, frameworks, and competitive positioning.

  • Foster collaboration across Presales, Product Management, R&D and Operations to ensure consistent delivery quality and continuous improvement.

  • Establish best practices for secure operations, secrets management, and protection of infrastructure, services, and sensitive customer data.

• Presales Demos, Demo Platform & Technical Ownership

  • Ensure availability, reliability, and functional readiness of our demo platforms, presales test and training environments.

  • Operate and optimize monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to guarantee platform stability, performance, and visibility.

  • Support integrations, event‑driven components, and cloud‑native services to ensure seamless operation of critical systems.

Key Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security or equivalent professional experience (10+ years).

• Proven experience in Cybersecurity Consulting, Managed Services, SOC Operations, Infrastructure Security and cloud security frameworks.

• Hands‑on expertise with EDR/XDR platforms (e.g., CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Microsoft Defender, Trend Micro), SIEM/SOC technologies, and modern detection engineering.

• Strong understanding of either NIS‑2, NIST 800-53, or ISO 27001 for KRITIS environments in connection with Physical Resilience (KRITIS-DachG).

• Knowledge of Azure, AWS or GCP, Linux systems, and infrastructure automation / orchestration (Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD pipelines).

• Experience with distributed and production systems, event‑driven architectures, and messaging platforms (Kafka or similar) and reliable operation incl. monitoring using Prometheus, Grafana, Loki or equivalent.

• Structured, proactive, ownership‑driven mindset with a strong focus on reliability, automation, and continuous improvement.

• Excellent communication skills and fluency in German and English.
