Job description
Protect what matters.
Primion Technology is a global solution provider and market leader in Converged Security Solutions and Workforce Management. For more than 30 years, we have supported around 4,000 satisfied customers worldwide who rely on our certified solutions every day. From consulting and planning to development, installation, maintenance, and support, a team of over 470 dedicated experts works passionately to meet the highest standards.
Exceptional sales performance requires both entrepreneurial drive and commercial discipline. As our new Sales Controller (m/f/d), you create the transparency that enables better decisions, working closely with sales leaders and management teams across the group to support profitable and sustainable growth.
Join our team and apply today on a 100% remote basis for a regular working time of 40 hours per week as Sales Controller (m/f/d)!
Your Responsibilities
End-to-end sales controlling
You are responsible for sales controlling across the entire group – including international business – along the full sales cycle: from lead generation through opportunity, quotation and order intake to revenue and margin realisation.
You make the funnel measurable: you analyse lead volume and lead quality, conversion rates between funnel stages, sales cycle length and hit rates, and assess the effectiveness of campaigns and sales activities.
You analyse order intake, revenues and contribution margins by region, product, customer and sales channel, and identify deviations at an early stage.
You are responsible for preparing, maintaining and tracking sales planning, forecasts and revenue/volume budgets.
Steering & transparency
You prepare regular sales and management reports (actual-vs-plan analyses, contribution margins, pipeline and forecast analyses) and derive clear recommendations for action.
You further develop meaningful sales KPIs and dashboards and ensure a reliable data basis in HubSpot and the ERP system – including clean pipeline hygiene and clear definitions along the funnel.
You work closely with sales management, key account management, marketing and project controlling, acting as a commercial business partner.
Profitability & optimisation
You manage pricing, margins and terms: you analyse discount and price structures, customer profitability and product margins, and identify potential for earnings improvement.
You assess the return on sales and marketing investments (including cost per lead, customer acquisition cost and campaign ROI) and advise on the allocation of budgets.
You support quotation costing and post-calculation as well as the commercial evaluation of tenders, framework agreements and service contracts.
You contribute to the design and calculation of sales targets, commission and bonus schemes and review their effectiveness.
Governance & closing
You review quotations, orders and terms agreements with regard to commercial accuracy and compliance and support the related approval processes.
You ensure adherence to controlling, risk and compliance guidelines within the sales organisation.
You support monthly, quarterly and annual closings (including revenue cut-off, bonus and commission accruals) as well as internal and external audits with a sales focus.

Several years of professional experience in sales controlling, commercial controlling or sales finance, ideally in a project- or solution-driven, international environment

Solid knowledge of accounting and financial reporting
